At SIA Medical & Dental Burwood we provide thorough, comprehensive dental to ensure you and the family are protected. The Dental Examination
Our first priority is your concerns, we take our time to listen at first so that we can alleviate any concerns and direct our attention to solve your problems. We tailor the appointment to each unique individual.
Our dentists will go through any medical conditions, medications and allergies, which may be relevant when providing you with dental treatment. By working with the General Medical Practitioners in the practice we are able to provide you with a complete range of care.

Why does my dentist need to take an X-Ray?
X-rays are critical in assessing the underlying condition of your teeth and gums. At SIA Dental, we utilise the latest hardware and software to take accurage images.
Our dentists recommends the following X-rays for a comprehensive check:
- Small digital X-ray (Also known as Bitewing or PA): The dentist may take these at your initial appointment to show any underlying dental decay, fillings, gum disease and bone levels.
- Full mouth X-ray (Also known as OPG): Your dentist may obtain a large scan of all your teeth to assess your overall health of your teeth, jaws & sinuses. As we are part of the Medical & Dental Centre we have an in-house Radiology Lab which covers this x-ray for eligible Medicare card holders. Other dental clinics will charge you from $100-$150 for this X-ray alone.
We utilise clinical photography to highlight areas of concern around your mouth.
